Book Review: Gator a-go-go by Tim Dorsey

Gator a-go-go

I have never read Tim Dorsey before and I think that was a mistake in this case. One of my good book friends has always told me that I should start with a new author’s first book and usually I follow her advice. This time I did not follow it and I regret that. Maybe it would have gone better if I had…

His title is very catchy and that drew me in to begin reading.

I tried. I really tried to read past the third chapter. I could not follow the train of thought. The only way I could tell you what it was about is to read the back. If it had been boring, I would have tried longer. It kept changing. Some seemed to be a stream of consciousness. I usually like that but again, I could not follow it.  It just kept twisting.

I will try this book again but I think this time I will follow her advice. I will try his first book first and see if I can follow his style better. This time did not mesh but I will give it another chance later when I have prepared better by starting at Tim Dorsey’s first book, Florida Roadkill.
