Wondering what happened to the links to our webstore? Well, we decided it was time to retire the store due to underwhelming interest. During more than two years, we had so few sales that it sort of became a great big money pit, with the monthly maintenance fees far outstripping any sales. If you want to know if we have something, please call or email us and we'll let you know right away. You'll be seeing some other changes to our website in the coming weeks, including new pictures. It's way past time to "freshen up", don't you think? Let us know at info@cncbooks.com if there are things you'd like to have us add to the site---no promises but we'll ponder the suggestions and do what we can. The tickets for the China Mieville event went on sale on 11/1---get yours before they sell out! All three sponsoring stores are selling them but there are only 250 available and we'd hate for you to be left out. If you're not particularly interested yourself, this would be a great Christmas present for the booklover in your life and, since this is his first young adult book, would be a super way for a teen or maybe even a pre-teen to try out an author event. And, finally, for the mystery-loving crowd, don't miss our Black Friday headliner, Julia Spencer-Fleming. Sher's the author of the enormously popular series featuring the ex-Army pilot Clare Fergusson who's now the first female Episcopal priest of a small church in upstate New York. Julia will be here at 1PM on November 24th, the day after Thanksgiving, to help kick off the holiday season and, incidentally, to help us celebrate our second anniversary in Carytown.
